FESTIVAL

QCMTA Festival is held in November. Festival is a non-competitive performance opportunity which provides oral comments to students from a guest clinician.

IMTA PRE-COLLEGE DISTRICT AUDITIONS

IMTA Pre-College District Auditions are held in early February.  This comprehensive competition allows students to demonstrate their performance ability, keyboard proficiency, and knowledge of music theory.  District audition winners are given the opportunity to compete at the state level.
On-line Registrations Due: Saturday, January 9, 2027
District Auditions: Saturday, February 6, 2027, St. Ambrose University
Entry Fee is $35 per student.  This includes a $5.00 awards fee
State Auditions: March 13 at Grinnell College

QCMTA DISTRICT AUDITIONS HONORS RECITAL

The District Auditions Honors Recital is held in February.  This recital is for all students who are named winners, alternates, and honorable mentions at district auditions.  All students receive awards.
